Russell Valante started the CPA Continuing Education Society in 1999 as a value-added service to his CPA clients at Janney Montgomery Scott.

Mr. Valante is presently a Executive Vice President of Investments with Janney Montgomery Scott and maintains a client base primarily of CPAs.

Mr. Valante's objectives with the CPA Continuing Education Society of PA is to provide state of the art programs and up to date educational information for CPAs to better serve their clients. The CPA Society programs are offered 10 months of the year, providing required CE credits for the CPAs. The CPA Society is registered with the Accounting Department of Pennsylvania, licensed with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State, and is licensed to extend CE credits to CPAs. The CPA Society is also registered with the State of Pennsylvania as a non-profit organization.

As President of the CPA Continuing Education Society of PA, along with H. Brad Kerr, Vice President/Treasurer and Diane McLeer, Secretary, Mr. Valante has appointed a Board of Directors of CPAs and a legal committee. The goal of this committee is to council their guidance to maintain high quality and standards providing for the continuation of the CPA Continuing Education Society of Pennsylvania.
